Dr. Huling was born in Montgomery, Alabama and moved to Southaven in 1970, where he graduated from Southaven High School. He attended the University of Mississippi for both undergraduate and medical school, graduating in 1981. He joined the Army and was stationed at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina until 1992, where he filled positions of Clinic Director, Chief of Primary Care and finally Residency Director of the Womack Army Hospital Family Practice Residency Program. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Southaven and joined Desoto Family Medical Center in 1992. Dr Huling separated from Desoto Family in 2003 and established Olive Branch Family Medical Center. Dr. Huling is married to Barbara and has two children, Melissa and Ryan. He is a clinical instructor in the Department of Family Practice at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He holds his certification in clinical competency from the American Academy of Family Practice. He is also certified as a clinical densitometrist, clinical research investigator and medical review officer. Dr. Huling has also served on the board of aldermen for the City of Southaven from 1997 to 2013. |

Edward Eldred, DO, MBA |

Dr. Eldred is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. He joined OBFMC in August 2010 after the completion of his family medicine residency at the University Of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Prior to residency, Dr. Eldred completed his medical training at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri. While completing his four years of medical school, he obtained his master's in business administration from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Eldred is a member of the 2001 graduating class of Mississippi State University, where he received a bachelor of science degree in biochemistry and molecular biology.Dr. Eldred is a lifelong resident of Desoto County. Currently, he resides in Olive Branch with his wife, Melissa, and their two sons, Lawson and Rowan. |

OBFMC has six family nurse practitioners on staff that provide primary care, acute care, and specialty health care. Our FNP’s hold advanced degrees and have completed extensive acute care preparation as well as specialty care preparation. They combine their expertise in diagnosing and treating health conditions with an added emphasis on disease prevention and health management to assess patients, order and interpret diagnostic tests, make diagnoses, initiate and manage treatment plans, and prescribe medications. Our FNP’s are certified to perform DOT and non-DOT physicals.
