Introduction: Pediatrics
At OBFMC, we are compassionate to the “little people.” We
understand the apprehension of the unknown from strangers. Our
staff is highly trained to handle the younger ones and we make
an extra effort to prevent unpleasant visits, including keeping
the wait times to a minimum.
All procedures are not “pain free,” however;
we have procedures that require a minimal amount of stress to
the child
and the parent. For example, we have a noninvasive procedure to
detect fluid or infection behind the eardrum.
We have a “skin glue” called dermabond that sometimes
prevents the need for stitches. This procedure makes everyone happy
and it’s very quick and simple. It cannot be used on all
lacerations, but we do consider it especially on children.
We will be happy to see your child for all their
needs, including all immunizations for infants, toddlers, and preschool.
Appointments are required for check ups and evaluations.
